Apparently, they took out the lens and sold the body only as brand new 50D body with all accessories. I was expecting a body only box. Did you put a card that has been used in another body? if you format that card in the 50D then it will pickup the numbering from the last shot number. The astro link does work on anything Digic 3 and over.

I just registered, because I was searching for the service manual of the 50D all over the internet, but couldn’t find it. Unfortunately it is broken since 2014 and was repaired by a german Canon “specialist” (he does it private) but I can’t reach him anymore. So it would be nice, if anyone could send me the service manual via PM or else.
