This applies to HWH manual retract systems such as the living room slide-out on a 2005 Winnie Adventurer.To keep this short I won’t talk about the total failure of the HWH pump system on my Winnie, just that it caught us with one small rear slide and the large living room slide out.

Oil level is a good place to start, I agree. But, check your manual for correct procedure. My HWH manual calls for both driver side slides to be in, but the curbside slide to be extended when checking level. Not intuitive, I know, but that is how it reads. Your system my be different, but check. _____
