Deck Restoration with Behr Premium DeckOver® – Marty’s Musings . I chose to work right out of the bucket with a roller and paint screen. If you try and apply in extreme afternoon heat, work a few boards at a time and work very fast.Pour DeckOver coating into a paint tray and work a roller into the tray until it is fully loaded with coating. For best results, use a 1/2″ roller cover. Apply a generous, even coat in the same section as the cut in and roll the coating approximately 4′ down the boards.
Allow the area to dry completely. Using a roller or nylon/polyester brush, apply BEHR PREMIUM® Stain & Finish Stripper NO. 64 to a small section of the coated wood deck surface. Reapply the stripper as needed to keep the surface wet for at least 15 minutes.

Use a product such as BEHR PREMIUM NO. 64 Wood Stain & Finish Stripper (must be followed by NO. 63) to remove all loose wood fibers, peeling paint/stain or deteriorated coatings prior to application of DeckOver. On new wood, use NO.
