Here’s what you should know: 1. AAAHC revised existing standards to “better demonstrate” their meaning and simplify the self-assessment and surveying process.
The 2012 Accreditation Handbook for Ambulatory Health Care, is designed for ambulatory care organizations seeking AAAHC accreditation only. This Accreditation Handbook is not intended for organizations that are currently Medicare Certified through AAAHC, or those that are seeking a combined AAAHC accreditation and Medicare Deemed Status survey.
