As long as you can fold the first half of the cover onto the second (the lifter does not help you with this part), you can use this lift. Removing the spa cover was very easy, and I could lift the cover with one hand if I wanted to (and I wouldn’t say I have great upper-body strengthI like to bowl with an 8 lb. bowling ball).
