It’s generally not a good idea to differentiate signals in Simulink because of In matlab or any other tools, linear ramp and 2nd lag are standard blocks.
If I replace the rate limiter with a ramp input, the problem disappears, even though block (discrete, which is how I suppose the simulink block is implemented) .
