.I’ve been using the Egnater Renegade amp as my main gigging amp for two and a half years. Bought it used for just over $500 and paid another $100 for a complete checkup. I’ll give you my conclusion first: if you need a two-channel amp that can cover everything from chimey cleans to mid-gain metal, this is for you.
The Renegade doesn’t really need any pedal help on channel 2 with the gain at 12ish or just below. The DSL also performs well on the Red channel for blues and rock, I just keep the gain at 3 or 4. – For heavy, the DSL delivers a bit more bottom end but can get a bit loose as the Renegade is a bit more tight and crisper punch/crunch. The Egnater Renegade head is a two channel, 65 watt tube amplifier. It utilizes two 6L6’s and two EL34’s. Each channel has a Tube Mix knob enabling the user to blend whatever amount of each pair of tubes they want in each channel. Both channels also

So while out testing Les Pauls I ran across the Egnater Renegade- it’s a 2 channel 18 to 65 watt adjustable amp. What is really cool about this is that it has the ability to change the wattage for each channel independently, has the 6l6 and el34 blend knob for each channel, separate eq, gain, and volume knobs and a footswitch.
