This is a great program that I have come to rely on to create all of my maps. I should note that the steps outlined here are taken directly from the “Terraformer for Fractal Terrains Pro Users Manual” created by Bill Roach. It’s an excellent guide, and I would recommend that anyone using Fractal Terrains pick this up as a reference source.
I just bought Fractal Terrains 3 (self.worldbuilding) and many of the widely referenced guides and tutorials have dropped off the face of the internet. The last update was four years ago and there’s no sign of anything coming up. Oh well. This was more of a rant than anything.
Here is something that is completely off the wall. Set up fractal terrains 3 to import maps into CC3+ based on the annual style of the map. Example, if I want to export a Fractal Terrains map into CC3+ as a John Roberts style overland map I can do it in just a few clicks.
