.I would never leave a car parked in neutral, even on the flat (you cannot always tell there is a slope, and it helps to seal the habit if you do it always) and turning the wheels into the kerb is not always possible (there may not be a kerb). It sounds like leaving the car in gear is the way to go. Does this do anything to the gearbox/clutch/whatever? Like over a few years, will leaving the car always in 1st gear have any effect on the wear of parts or something?
