2. i7: The amp works fine but the volume control no longer functions. I can control the volume through the remote, but not through the front panel knob. It doesn’t function in the setup mode either. If anyone has any input or advice, I would appreciate it. I have contacted Simaudio and awaiting a response.
Selling my Simaudio i7 I have owned it about 1 1/2 years and love everything about it. I have the itch to try some tube separates . I purchased it from an authorized Simaudio dealer and I am the second owner. It works perfect without any issues. Simaudio I7 vs P5.3/W5.3. Hi has any one tried the i7 against the P5.3/W5.3 separates. I think the i7 is rated 150W as is the W5.3. Also has anyone tried the new W5.3 against the old W5 (pre 2007 model), as I can get the old one quite a bit cheaper ex-demo.

Nope, me too. Equinox CDP, i5.3 ampand JM Lab 1027Be speakers. I think the i5 is a cracking little amp and, musically, I think it is slightly better than the i7 (don’t ask mewhy but having heard both I just preferred the sound of thei5 – possibly that slight bit warmer than the i7 ??) although I agreethe i5could sometimes do with a bit more power. For sale is a Simaudio i-7 integrated amp. This was the flagship integrated amplifier from Simaudio, recently being replaced by the $12,000, 700i. This amp listed for $8000 CDN.
