.I bought 8gb DDR2 PC2- 5300 240 pin ram, which is what my motherboard (gigabyte ga-eg43m-s2h 1.1) said it needed. Right now i have 6400 instead of 5300, but i heard these were interchangable. When the package arrived, the new ram’s notch was just barely off from my current ram.
